Release notes for the DNAGedcom Client. The Client notifies you when a new version is available — download and install over the existing version. Your database and settings are preserved.

How Updates Work

The DNAGedcom Client checks for updates on startup. When a new version is available, you’ll see a notification on the Home page with a download link. Install the new version over the existing one — your database and settings are preserved.

Stable vs. Beta

  • Stable releases are tested production builds recommended for most users.
  • Beta releases are pre-release versions with the latest features. They may contain bugs or incomplete functionality. Enable beta updates in Settings to receive them.

Build Notifications

You can opt in to email notifications when new versions are available. Go to Settings in the Client and enable Build Notifications with your email address. Choose whether to receive notifications for stable releases only or include beta releases.
