DNAGedcom was created to fill a need for tools and documents that help people interpret the results of DNA tests taken for genealogical research. While many of our early users were adoptees searching for birth families, the tools are valuable for anyone exploring their genetic connections.
Beyond data extraction, DNAGedcom provides analysis and modeling tools that help build actual relationships from chromosome data and family tree comparisons.
Our goal is to reduce the manual effort in extracting and measuring DNA data, to provide software that helps determine relationships from test results and family trees, and to offer metrics and comparisons not otherwise available to users.
