Overview

The Kits section under People provides a central view of all your gathered DNA kits with detailed statistics. From here you can see at a glance how much data has been gathered for each kit and drill into specific kits for detailed search and analysis.

Kit Summary View

Navigate to People > Kits to see all your kits in a filterable list. Each kit shows:

Column Description
Company The DNA testing service (A*, FTDNA, 23andMe, MyHeritage, GEDmatch)
Kit Name The name of the kit/profile
Matches Number of gathered matches
Chromosome Amount of chromosome segment data
ICW Amount of ICW (In Common With) data
Surnames Number of distinct surnames across matches
Ancestors Number of ancestors found in match trees
Trees Number of match trees gathered

Use the filter at the top to search by kit name or company.

Select a kit to access detailed search tools for that kit's data:

Using Kits for Research

The kit summary view is useful for:

  • Seeing which kits need more data gathered (low match counts, missing ICW or chromosome data)
  • Comparing data completeness across services
  • Quickly finding a specific kit among many
  • Accessing per-kit search tools without switching between services
